Children's Spanish & Adventure Camp

Take a learning vacation with your family in beautiful and safe Costa Rica. Each year our Children’s Spanish Camp welcomes kids ages 2 to 13 from all over the world. They study Spanish in a fun and interactive environment, meet local children, play sports, do crafts and adventure activities.

The camp takes place in Playa Tamarindo on the northern Pacific coast in the dry forest. Boasting a long white sand beach, this sunny tropical paradise is perfect for swimming or surfing and has tons of activities and tours for all ages.

We have two camp sessions each year, Winter and Summer.

The Winter Children's Camp takes place over a 2 week period that encompasses both Christmas and New Years. You can choose to do one week or both weeks. The main difference between the itinerary for the Winter and Summer camps is that we do not offer a Pre-K or Teen Camp option. We provide sitter services for families traveling with children under 5 years and teenagers can join our Adult Spanish Program with surf. Space is extremely limited, so please contact us right away if you are interested in this camp.

The Winter Camp is for 5 to 13 year old children. For those family members 14 and over we have our Private and Semi-Private Adult Spanish Lessons. You can also add on our Surf Program, either private or group lessons. We do have family discounts for the surf program, depending upon how many people sign up.

The Summer Children’s Camp takes place over an 9 week period between the middle of June and the middle of August. Children can enroll in the camp from one to all nine weeks. We put a cap on the total number of students each week, so space is very limited. Each year we sell the camp out completely, so don't wait!

The care and supervision of your children is very important to us. For this reason we split the age groups up into four groups: 2 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 to 13. This allows us to give age specific and developmentally appropriate activities, Spanish lessons and supervision to all of our campers.

Children 5 to 13 attend the camp for the same 6 hour period, 8am to 2pm. Many of the camp activities will be done together, such as snack break, lunch and graduation. However, other activities that are age specific such as Spanish instruction, will be done separately and age appropriately. For the younger children age 2 to 4, we have a Spanish Daycare Option where they can be with us 4 or 6 hours/day.

For the Elementary and Middle School Groups, we offer a couple of discounts: Sibling Discount, $25/week/child and Long Term Discount, $25/week/child for those who sign up for three or more weeks. These discounts do not apply to the Daycare Pre-K Option. However, we do have an Early Sign up Discount that is 10% Off the entire price of a families camps, programs and on-campus lodging. You just have to sign up by October 31st. This is by far our best discount and well worth consideration.

We have our own private, beachfront lodging for our families that is right above the camp drop off and pick up location. Two of our apartments have their own private balconies overlooking the beach and ocean. Location wise you just cannot beat these exclusive camp options. Because only camps families can stay in our complex on the beach, it is a safe and fun environment for all. Each unit has a full kitchen, a/c, cable tv, high speed, fiber optic wireless internet and complimentary use our on-site washer/dryer.
