Children's Camp Itinerary
The following is the General Itinerary for our Children’s Spanish, Art & Sports Camp in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica. The camp runs Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm. There is a surf lesson each week, an adventure tour and a cultural exchange, in addition to games, Spanish classes, art, beach time, snack break and lunch. Each week tours and activities will be rotated in order to give our students the widest possible range of experiences in Costa Rica.
Tour options include a Boat Tour of the Estuary, Canopy Zip Lining Tour, local farm tour, Sailboat tour of Tamarindo Bay and the Playa Conchal Beach Tour. All activities are scheduled for the days and times listed below, but are subject to change due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control.
Every Sunday at 4pm, we welcome all new families to our Spanish School for a camp orientation. It is very important that children and adults attend this function. Children in the Middle School Group as well as teenagers and adults will be given Spanish placement evaluations by our Spanish teachers in order to place them in the correct level of Spanish classes. Children 10 and under will be evaluated at the start of camp on Mondays. The orientation is run by our camp director, who will go over the weekly activities, time schedules and expectations. You will also be introduced to key members of the staff, including our Spanish director and lead surf instructor. Afterward, they will all be available for additional questions and answers.
