Surf Lessons

The following is the 2018 Itinerary for the ISLS Children’s Spanish, Art & Sports Camp in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica. The camp runs Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm. We will have a surf lesson each week, an adventure tour and a cultural exchange, in addition to games, Spanish classes, art, beach time and lunch. Each week tours and activities will be rotated in order to give our students the widest possible range of experiences in Costa Rica.

Tour options include a Boat Tour of the Estuary, Canopy Zip Lining Tour, local farm tour, Sailboat tour of Tamarindo Bay and the Playa Conchal Beach Tour. All activities are scheduled for the days and times listed below, but are subject to change due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control.

Every Sunday at 4pm, we welcome all new families to our Spanish School for a camp orientation. It is very important that children and adults attend this function. The children will be given Spanish placement evaluations by our Spanish teachers in order to place them in the correct level of Spanish classes. The adults will meet with the camp director, Marjo Garrison, who will go over the weekly activities, time schedules and expectations. Afterward, she will be available for question and answer.
