ISLS Student Guesthouse

ISLS offers a Student Guest House in San Jose, Costa Rica that is available to all of our students whether they are in a Spanish program or have already completed one. It is a great place to start out with when entering the country for the first time. It is also a great place to recoup, check some scores, clean your cloths and just relax.

Students who plan on being in country after their Spanish program is over to travel around can use the guesthouse as their home base. Friends and family can leave messages for you. You can receive mail, leave excess baggage and when staying there check e-mail and get on the internet for free.

There are five bedrooms in our house; one private three shared and one bunk room. We have cable TV, living area, travel resource center, full kitchen, three bathrooms with showers, washer and drier, two patios and 24 hour security.

The house is located just off Paseo Colon on the west side of downtown. It is walking distance to many of the downtown shops, restaurants, bars, casinos, museums and other attractions. It is also very convenient getting to the International Airport (SJO). The main public bus station for buses all over the country is only four blocks away.

If you are registered in the Welcome to Costa Rica Program, your accommodations at the ISLS Travelers Guest House or at a Bed & Breakfast are included in the cost of the Program.

• Free storage while you’re traveling including a secure locker for valuables.

• Use of kitchen, living room, and other amenities.
• The house is spacious and comfortable, with capacity available for 15 people.

There is also a patio where you can relax and soak up some sun while you study Spanish.

There are both private and shared accommodations available. You can choose to stay in a room alone, with 3 people, or with 5 other people in a bunk bed room if cost is your main concern. All linens, towels and maid service are included. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily.
